Description

Browne Deltoid Retractor

Browne Deltoid Retractor (265 mm) is a high-quality orthopaedic surgical instrument designed to provide controlled, atraumatic retraction of the deltoid muscle during shoulder and upper limb procedures. Engineered for precision and reliability, this retractor allows surgeons to maintain a clear operative field while minimising soft-tissue trauma.

Key Features

  • Overall length: 265 mm
  • Specialist deltoid blade design for safe and effective muscle retraction
  • Surgical-grade stainless steel for durability and corrosion resistance
  • Smooth, atraumatic edges to reduce tissue damage
  • Autoclavable and suitable for repeated sterilisation cycles
  • Ergonomic design for secure handling and surgical precision

Manufactured from premium surgical-grade stainless steel, the Browne Deltoid Retractor offers excellent strength, corrosion resistance, and long-term durability. Its carefully contoured blade profile is specifically shaped to retract the deltoid muscle safely and effectively, improving visibility and access to deeper anatomical structures during surgery.

With an overall length of 265 mm, this instrument provides optimal reach and leverage, making it suitable for both routine and complex orthopaedic procedures. The smooth finish and balanced design ensure comfortable handling and precise control, even during prolonged operations.

Clinical Benefits

The Browne Deltoid Retractor is designed to enhance surgical efficiency by maintaining consistent retraction without excessive force. Our Philosophy

Firstly, our philosophy is to challenge everything we do, be accountable for what we manufacture and continually improve. Furthermore, we supply stainless steel instruments that are manufactured in accordance with BS 5194. This ensures each instrument has the right composition, enabling it to serve its intended purpose effectively.

Finally, we select the highest grade steels, for the best long term value for our customers. As part of our ISO 9001 quality system, we ensure we have access to material mill certificates and also as part of our proactive objective quality assessment, we send off a routine batch of material for 3rd Party testing and verification. This ensures our customers receive the instrument they ordered, manufactured from the correct steel, as per BS 5194.
