Description

Fukuda Humerus Head Retractor

The Fukuda Humerus Head Retractor is a specialist orthopaedic surgical instrument designed to provide controlled and atraumatic retraction of the humeral head during shoulder surgery. Commonly used in shoulder arthroplasty, rotator cuff repair, and open shoulder procedures, this retractor enables excellent exposure of the glenoid and surrounding structures while minimising soft tissue trauma.

Key Features

  • Designed for humeral head retraction during shoulder surgery
  • Curved anatomical blade for secure positioning
  • Provides excellent exposure of the glenoid and joint space
  • Manufactured from surgical-grade stainless steel
  • Smooth, atraumatic finish
  • Autoclavable and suitable for repeated sterilisation

Featuring a curved, contoured blade, the Fukuda Retractor is specifically shaped to conform to the anatomy of the humeral head. This design allows the humerus to be retracted posteriorly or inferiorly in a stable and controlled manner, improving surgical access and visibility throughout the procedure.

Manufactured from high-quality surgical-grade stainless steel, the Fukuda Humerus Head Retractor offers exceptional strength, durability, and corrosion resistance. The smooth, polished surface supports atraumatic tissue handling and allows for safe use during prolonged procedures. Its balanced construction ensures precise control and ease of handling for the operating surgeon.

Widely regarded as an essential instrument in shoulder surgery sets, the Fukuda Humerus Head Retractor supports efficient workflow in theatre by maintaining consistent retraction and reducing the need for manual assistance.

Our Philosophy

Firstly, our philosophy is to challenge everything we do, be accountable for what we manufacture and continually improve. Furthermore, we supply stainless steel instruments that are manufactured in accordance with BS 5194. This ensures each instrument has the right composition, enabling it to serve its intended purpose effectively.

Finally, we select the highest grade steels, for the best long term value for our customers. As part of our ISO 9001 quality system, we ensure we have access to material mill certificates and also as part of our proactive objective quality assessment, we send off a routine batch of material for 3rd Party testing and verification. This ensures our customers receive the instrument they ordered, manufactured from the correct steel, as per BS 5194.
