The Hardinge Horizontal Retractor with Winding Mechanism is a precision orthopaedic surgical instrument designed to provide controlled, stable retraction during deep surgical procedures. Commonly used in orthopaedic and spinal surgery, this retractor allows surgeons to maintain consistent exposure of the operative field while minimising the need for manual force.
Featuring an integrated winding mechanism, the Hardinge Retractor enables gradual and precise adjustment of retraction tension. This controlled expansion improves visibility and access while reducing tissue stress during prolonged procedures. The semi-sharp 18 mm blade depth is designed to achieve secure tissue engagement without excessive trauma, making it suitable for demanding surgical environments.
Manufactured from high-quality surgical-grade stainless steel, the instrument offers excellent strength, durability, and resistance to corrosion. With an overall length of 285 mm, the retractor provides optimal reach and leverage, supporting accurate placement and stable performance throughout surgery.
The balanced design and smooth finish ensure reliable handling and compatibility with repeated sterilisation cycles, making this instrument a dependable component of advanced orthopaedic and spinal instrument sets.
