St. Clair Thompson Adenoid Curette is an instrument used in adenoidectomy to remove adenoid tissues. The surgeon inserts the curette in the central line like a dagger, with the blade pointing downward. They take care not to tilt the curette in order to prevent injuring the eustachian tube’s mouth. The surgeon inserts the blade past the soft palate until it reaches the nasopharyngeal vault. The lump of adenoid tissue is then removed using a shaving technique. They can release the cage as needed to minimise harm to the surrounding structures and to keep the middle ear ventilated. They also take care not to overextend the patient’s neck during adenoidectomy operations in order to avoid atlanto-occipital damage.
To improve your grip and dexterity, we created the handle with a thick frame. Furthermore, the handle’s exterior curves improve comfort and minimise hand slippage.
To perform clean cuts of masses and contaminated tissues, we designed a square blade with a large fenestration. The blade diameters range from 10mm to 18 mm to accommodate a wide variety of indications. Furthermore, the instrument has a tapering neck that allows you to view the blade in tight spaces.
