Mixter Artery Forceps
Mixter Artery Forceps represent ratcheted finger ring forceps that surgeons frequently employ within obscured surgical sites. They most commonly find application in clamping, dissecting, or grasping tissue. Mixter are available in 3 lengths and have serrations the entire length of the jaw. This product has straight shanks, delicate, fully serrated jaws, and right angle tips.
This is a specialised device that surgeons in multiple areas use to grasp and statically hold soft tissues, locally stop the blood flow and perform blunt dissection.
- Partially-Serrated Jaws Promoting Atraumatic Clamping.
- Boxlock System for Smooth Joint Movements.
- Elongated Straight Shafts for Enhanced Surgical Reach
The Mixter Artery Forceps offers a broad range of surgical benefits. Its principal use is to permit adequate control of haemostasis during surgery.
For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of tapered, curved jaws that help to reach a variety of surgical sites. In addition, the partially-serrated inner surfaces of the jaws ensure atraumatic grasping.
Moreover, the Mixter Artery Forceps features a ratchet system for self-locking the jaws. As a result, surgeons can apply different degrees of clamping pressure according to the target tissue.
