Description

Crile-Wood Needle Holder Tungsten Carbide

The Crile-Wood Needle Holder with Tungsten Carbide holds and guides small to medium-sized needles and suture materials. The Crile-Wood Needle Holder has a gently tapered, blunt tip and is generally more delicate than the Mayo-Hegar but slightly less delicate than Webster, Halsey, or DeBakey needle holders. The ratcheted finger ring handle aids in securing needles for both continuous and interrupted closures. This product is straight with cross-serrated tips, centre notch.

Crile-Wood Needle Holders are self-retaining finger ring forceps that assist surgeons in the handling of suture needles.

  • Ratcheted finger ring handles for self-retaining clamps.
  • Jaws with inner cross-serrations for non-slip grasps.
  • Tungsten Carbide Model available to suit different surgical indications.

Crile-Wood Needle Holders have several features that assist surgeons to handle suturing needles easily.

Firstly, the finger ring handles have a ratchet mechanism so you can clamp the device while performing different manipulations.

Furthermore, the shafts are straight and long to grant optimal surgical access.

Moreover, the slender jaws have inner cross-serrations and a special groove to handle a wide range of needles. Furthermore, a model with tungsten carbide inserts is available to grant a long-term resistance to wear and tear.

Lastly, we manufactures this device from premium stainless steel that you can easily sterilise to deliver an optimal performance and a long-term service in your procedures.

Our philosophy is to challenge everything we do, be accountable for what we manufacture and continually improve.  We supply stainless steel instruments that are manufactured in accordance with BS 5194. This ensures every instrument has the correct composition, to ensure they can be fit for purpose and perform the action they were designed for.

We select the highest grade steels, for the best long term value for our customers. As part of our ISO 9001 quality system, we ensure we have access to material mill certificates and as part of our proactive objective quality assessment, we send off routine batches of material for 3rd Party testing and verification. This ensures our customers receive the instrument they ordered, manufactured from the correct steel, as per BS 5194.
