Our Aneurysm Needle, also known as aneurysm hook or aneurysm clip, is a surgical instrument used in the treatment of cerebral or intracranial aneurysms. The primary goal of using an aneurysm needle is to secure or clip off an aneurysm, a weakened area in an artery wall that has the potential to rupture and cause a life-threatening bleed. Aneurysm Needle a blunt-pointed, curved needle with the eye at the point; used for passing ligatures around aneurysms or vessels.
Our Aneurysm Needles allow surgeons to make precise and controlled movements during the aneurysm clipping procedure. Their lightweight design and fine tips enable accurate navigation of intricate vascular structures, crucial for avoiding damage to nearby tissues and also vessels.
Engineers design these needles to match the fragility of brain blood vessels while typically using high-quality materials like stainless steel to ensure durability and non-reactivity. Their slender and curved shape facilitates access to the aneurysm site while minimising disruption to surrounding anatomy.
Surgeons use aneurysm needles alongside aneurysm clips, positioning these small metallic devices precisely at the neck of the aneurysm. This effectively blocks the aneurysm from the main blood vessel, reducing the risk of rupture and potential life-threatening bleeding.
Manufacturers produce aneurysm needles from sterile materials and subject them to rigorous sterilisation procedures to prevent post-surgery infections and complications. Surgeons and the surgical team strictly follow protocols to maintain a contamination-free environment for all instruments, including aneurysm needles.
Our Aneurysm needles are specialised surgical instruments designed for precise, delicate, and sterile use. They play a critical role in aneurysm clipping, isolating and securing aneurysms to prevent potentially life-threatening complications while minimising damage to surrounding tissues. These instruments are vital in neurosurgery, where the utmost care and precision are essential for the best patient outcomes.
