Description
Gemini-Mixter Artery Forceps
Surgeons use Gemini-Mixter Artery Forceps, also known as Mixter forceps, to clamp vessels and occlude tissue during vascular and cardiothoracic procedures. These forceps have ratcheted, finger rings for better control and maneuverability.
Both Gemini and Mixter forceps commonly have serrations the entire length of their jaws. Gemini forceps; however, offer delicate serrations so they may be used on more delicate tissue. Also, while Mixter forceps frequently feature right angle jaws; Gemini tend to have more of a curve, both slight and full, to the jaws. The product features a strong curve with delicate serrations along the entire length of the jaws. Gemini Forceps is a multipurpose device that surgeons in multiple specialities use to perform blunt dissection, clamp blood vessels and carry sutures during surgical procedures.
- Inner Serrated Jaws Promoting Atraumatic Clamping.
- Multiple Sizes to Suit All Applications.
- Ergonomic Finger Rings Ensuring Maximum Control
The Gemini-Mixter Artery Forceps offers a reliable way to control haemostasis. Its principal use is to manipulate tissues and blood vessels to prevent critical blood loss.
For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of curved jaws with a tapered design to grasp delicate tissues. In addition, the inner surfaces of the jaws include a fully-serrated profile to avoid endothelial damage.
Moreover, the Gemini-Mixter Forceps is available in multiple sizes that range from 130mm to 280mm. As a result, surgeons can grasp small and large areas of tissues and a variety of blood vessels. The device includes a ratchet that ensures self-retaining clamping, which ensures maximum comfort.
Manufactured in premium grade stainless steel with a fine satin finish that reduces glare.

Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is to challenge everything we do, be accountable for what we manufacture and continually improve.
Every instrument ensures its correct composition to be fit for purpose and perform the action it was designed for. We select the highest grade steels, for the best long term value for our customers.
As part of our ISO 9001 quality system, we ensure we have access to material mill certificates and as part of our proactive objective quality assessment, we send off routine batches of material for 3rd Party testing as well as verification. This also ensures our customers receive the instrument they ordered, manufactured from the correct steel, as per BS 5194.
