Product Description

The Gillies Needle Holder’s precision control is paramount for surgeons. When performing delicate suturing, every movement matters. The instrument enables surgeons to grasp needles with pinpoint accuracy, ensuring they place sutures exactly where needed. This precision is particularly crucial in microsurgery, where even the slightest deviation can impact patient outcomes.

The secure locking mechanism is a crucial safety feature. When a surgeon locks the instrument onto a needle, it remains in place, reducing the risk of unintended needle slippage. This is especially vital in surgeries where stability is key, preventing disruptions in the suturing process and potential damage to surrounding tissues.

Surgery can be physically demanding, often requiring hours of concentration and precise movements. The Gillies Needle Holder’s ergonomic design minimises hand fatigue, making it easier for surgeons to maintain a steady hand and focus on their work. This ergonomic advantage is especially appreciated during long and intricate procedures.

The Gillies Needle Holder features a ratchet mechanism for precise needle control and optional tungsten carbide inserts in the jaws, ensuring both stability and durability during surgery, especially in delicate suturing procedures.

In summary, the Gillies Needle Holder carefully designed its features to assist surgeons in performing their work with precision, safety, comfort, and longevity. These qualities are vital in ensuring successful surgical outcomes and a positive experience for both the surgeon and the patient.

As part of our ISO 9001 quality system, we ensure we have access to material mill certificates and also part of our proactive objective quality assessment, we send off routine batches of material for 3rd Party testing as well as verification. Furthermore, this ensures our customers receive the instrument they ordered, manufactured from the correct steel, as per BS 5194.
