A Ball & Socket Towel Clip is a common medical instrument in surgery, especially in orthopedic procedures. It’s designed to securely hold surgical towels, drapes, or sterile covers in place during surgery. The ball-and-socket joint allows for easy adjustment and positioning of the towels to create a sterile field.
The defining feature of this instrument is the Ball & Socket joint, which allows for a wide range of motion and adjustability. This feature enables precise positioning of surgical towels and drapes, ensuring that they cover the surgical site effectively.
Easy sterilization design for autoclaving or other sterilisation methods. This ensures that the clip itself doesn’t introduce any contaminants into the surgical field.
This provides a secure grip ont surgical towel and drapes. This prevents accidental displacement during the procedure, which could compromise the sterility of the field.
The clips typically feature ergonomic handles that surgical staff can manipulate without exerting excessive effort, a crucial aspect during surgery when precise adjustments may be necessary.
This instrument incorporates a locking mechanism to secure the Ball & Socket joint in place once you achieve the desired position. This helps maintain the positioning throughout the surgery.

Our philosophy is to challenge everything we do, be accountable for what we manufacture and continually improve. Furthermore, this ensures that every instrument possesses the appropriate composition to serve its intended purpose and execute the action for which they were designed.
Firstly, we select the highest grade steels, for the best long term value for our customers. As part of our ISO 9001 quality system, we ensure we have access to material mill certificates and also part of our proactive objective quality assessment, we send off routine batches of material for 3rd Party testing as well as verification. Furthermore, this ensures our customers receive the instrument they ordered, manufactured from the correct steel, as per BS 5194.
