Heiss Artery Forceps is a specialised device that surgeons use to clamp blood vessels, especially small arteries, during a variety of surgical scenarios. The instrument is also useful to grasp disposable materials, tissues and needles. This product is straight with serrated jaws.
The Heiss Artery Forceps offers a wide array of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to provide an atraumatic way to compress arteries and veins, to block the blood flow.
For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of jaws with a tapered design to easily traverse narrow passages. In addition, the opposing surfaces of the jaws have serrations to obtain a strong but atraumatic grip. Also, the shafts’ elongated profile helps to reach deep anatomical areas.
Moreover, the Heiss Artery Forceps features finger rings that reduce the risk of accidental slippage. Additionally, a ratchet mechanism between the rings permits to apply different levels of clamping pressure.

Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is to challenge everything we do, be accountable for what we manufacture and also continually improve. We manufacture our stainless steel instruments in strict adherence to BS 5194 guidelines. This also guarantees that each instrument possesses the accurate composition necessary for them to be suitable for their intended purpose and to effectively execute their designed actions.
We select the highest grade steels, for the best long term value for our customers. As part of our ISO 9001 quality system, we ensure we have access to material mill certificates and as part of our proactive objective quality assessment. We send off routine batches of material for 3rd Party testing and also for verification. This ensures our customers receive the instrument they ordered, manufactured from the correct steel, as per BS 5194.
All prices are quoted ex-works and subject to VAT
Orders are delivered to the address given at the time of order and will be delivered by a national courier.
All orders placed by 5pm are processed and dispatched the same day for delivery the following working day.
In the rare event we have no stock you will be notified immediately with an anticipated delivery date.
Deliveries to UK mainland, remote locations ( Highlands and Islands) and international destinations will be determined upon receipt of order. Based on the weight and dimensions of the shipment.
In the unlikely event that goods need to be returned, we offer a “no quibble” 10 working days returns policy which has been designed for minimum inconvenience. This excludes special or bespoke size orders.
For goods ordered in error you will be responsible for the full cost of postage and packaging.
Approval must be sought before items are returned.
Please call our customer care team on 01274 491175 and once you have obtained a unique returns number (URN#) and approval, return it along with the goods for return.
PLEASE NOTE – We strongly recommend for security purposes when sending items back you use a ‘signed for’ delivery service, such as Royal Mail Recorded or Special Delivery and ensure the package is adequately insured. We are not liable for any packages lost in the post and do not accept responsibility for any item(s) until a member of our staff has signed for the package. Goods need to be returned in adequate packaging to avoid damage in transit.
Credit will only be issued for returned stock received in a re-saleable condition.
