Heaney Needle Holder is a ratcheted, finger ring instrument used for light to medium weight suturing, most commonly in gynaecological procedures such as vaginal and abdominal hysterectomy, and dilation and curettage. The slightly curved shanks and tips provide the user a better view when suturing intravaginally, and the cross-serrations provide a secure hold on the needle. This needle holder may also be used as a cardiovascular approximation and closure instrument.
Heaney Needle Holders Tungsten Carbide feature scissor-style handles, offering surgeons a comfortable grip for precise surgical control. These handles are ergonomic, allowing for extended use during procedures. The ratcheted locking mechanism in Heaney needle holders ensures a secure grip on needles and sutures, preventing accidental slippage during surgery. This feature is essential in maintaining the integrity of sutures and achieving precise stitches.
The curved jaws of Heaney needle holders are designed to match the shape of surgical needles, facilitating easy grasping and manipulation. This curvature aids in accurate placement of sutures in delicate and confined surgical spaces. Additionally, the serrated tips on the jaws provide extra grip on the needle or suture material, further enhancing control and reducing the risk of slipping.
The combination of these features in Heaney needle holders makes them a vital tool in gynaecological and other surgical procedures. Surgeons can rely on these instruments to perform intricate suturing with confidence, ensuring the best possible patient outcomes. Overall, Heaney needle holders are indispensable for any surgeon seeking precision and control in needle and suture manipulation during surgery.
If you’re a surgeon or medical professional performing surgical procedures, consider adding Heaney needle holders to your toolkit. These instruments provide precise control and a secure grip, making suturing and needle manipulation easier. Upgrade your surgical precision and enhance patient outcomes with Heaney needle holders.
