Product Description

Firstly, our Mayo Needle Holder are surgical instruments known for their distinct features. They have cross-serrated jaws that offer a secure grip on needles, preventing slippage during suturing. Scissor-like handles provide controlled pressure for precise needle manipulation, while a locking mechanism ensures needle security. Available in various sizes, these instruments adapt to different surgical needs, with smaller versions for delicate work and larger ones for robust suturing.

Furthermore, These Mayo needle holders, made from robust stainless steel, resist rust and enable sterilisation for hygiene. They come with straight or curved tips for versatility in various surgical applications. An ergonomic design reduces hand fatigue, making them comfortable for extended surgical procedures.

Mayo Needle Holders may be single-use or reusable, depending on hospital policies. However, all versions are designed for sterilization to maintain a sterile surgical environment. Some models feature identification marks, aiding in instrument tracking and maintenance, which is essential for patient safety and procedural efficiency. Mayo Needle Holders are invaluable tools for surgeons, offering precision and reliability during suturing tasks in surgical procedures.

Mahr manufactures all of its Mayo Needle Holders from surgical grade stainless steel only or with combination of tungsten carbide tip.

Our Philosophy

Firstly, our philosophy is to challenge everything we do, be accountable for what we manufacture and continually improve. We supply stainless steel instruments manufactured in accordance with BS 5194. This ensures that each instrument has the correct composition, guaranteeing its fitness for purpose and the ability to perform its intended actions.

Furthermore, we select the highest grade steels, for the best long term value for our customers. As part of our ISO 9001 quality system, we ensure we have access to material mill certificates and as part of our proactive objective quality assessment, we send off routine batches of material for 3rd Party testing and verification. This ensures our customers receive the instrument they ordered, manufactured from the correct steel, as per BS 5194.
