Description

Schuknecht Suction Tube

The Schuknecht Suction Tube, also known as a Schuknecht Sump, is a medical instrument used in surgery and otolaryngology (ear, nose, and throat) procedures. The tube is designed for gentle suction and removal of fluids from the surgical site, especially in procedures involving the middle ear.

The Schuknecht Suction Tube has a soft, flexible tip to minimise the risk of damaging delicate tissues. Surgeons use it in procedures like mastoidectomy and tympanoplasty to enhance visibility by clearing blood, fluids, and debris. Medical staff connect and control the tube to a suction source during surgery.

  • The Schuknecht Suction Tubes’ soft, flexible tip gently removes fluids and debris, enhancing patient comfort.
  • Efficient suction clears blood, fluids, ensuring surgeons maintain enhanced visibility for precise procedures.
  • Leading otolaryngologists’ expertise shapes the ergonomic design, ensuring ease of use for medical professionals.
  • Versatile across various ear surgeries, the Schuknecht Suction Tube seamlessly integrates into surgical toolkits.
  • User-friendly interface empowers medical staff to control suction levels with precision for smooth procedures.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is to challenge everything we do, be accountable for what we manufacture and also continually improve. We manufacture our stainless steel instruments in strict adherence to BS 5194 guidelines. This also guarantees that each instrument possesses the accurate composition necessary for them to be suitable for their intended purpose and to effectively execute their designed actions.

We select the highest grade steels, for the best long term value for our customers. As part of our ISO 9001 quality system, we ensure we have access to material mill certificates and as part of our proactive objective quality assessment. We send off routine batches of material for 3rd Party testing and also for verification. This ensures our customers receive the instrument they ordered, manufactured from the correct steel, as per BS 5194.
